
Nathan Corliss is the Senior Director of Quality and Continuous Improvement for The Gund Company, Inc. Nathan leads the global enterprise developing problem-solving capabilities and leadership development in facilities located in North America, Asia, India, and Europe. He has led the creation and execution of continuous improvement and leadership education, train-the-trainer program, and an acquisition integration team.
Nathan started his career as a machinist and learned the concepts of lean by doing. Building a career from the shop floor to the executive room, being versatile, leading production, quality, continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and organizational development. His career has taken him to multiple industries and businesses, including Danaher as a Danaher Business System Leader. During the COVID-19 pandemic, while working in the healthcare industry, Nathan was part of the emergency response incident command leadership team for hospital campus readiness, along with setting up vaccination clinic operations to serve the public.
Nathan received his BS in Business Management from Phoenix University and is completing a Master’s in Leadership and Organizational Development through St. Louis University.
With his partner Jessie Budahl, he founded Aegis Self Defense and teaches the proactive, trauma recovery, and physical skills of self-defense. Often volunteering to serve survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. He is also certified in assisting individuals in crisis, group crisis intervention, and facilitating crisis management briefings through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, Inc.
Nathan lives in St. Louis, MO, with his wife, Christine. They have one adult son, Benjamin.
